BYOD FAQ's1. If every student has a device, does this mean they will no longer use pencils, paper, and books?

There will be times when using these traditional technologies are the most appropriate way of meeting learning goals. 2. Will the school provide machines to use while a student machine is in for repairs? Adams Central will Not provide free rental machines for students in the BYOD program. Because students need their laptop every day for use at school, those who do not have a computer to use at school will be provided a rental machine to use while their laptop is in for repairs. Rental units will be issued through our Media department. Rental fees are $5 per day or $20 per 7 day week and will be paid monthly by parents. These rental units (Google Chromebooks) may not be the exact same machine as the one you purchased, but will provide web access so students can retrieve and work on online resources, documents, and projects. It is the responsibility of the student to make sure any work is saved in the cloud on their Google Drive or saved locally on their own computer. It is also the responsibility of the student to regularly back up any documents and media saved locally on their own computer. NOTE: Parents are responsible for any damage incurred to the rental unit. 3. Will students be required to go online at home?
